  • Alumni Reception in the Twin Cites

    This week Fr. Edward Seton Fittin, OSB '82 attended a liturgy conference at St. John University, Collegeville, Min, and his visit to the Midwest was a golden opportunity to organize the first-ever Twin Cities alumni gathering.

    From golfing ten hours a day during spring break in South Carolina to a number two in the state ranking, the Green Wave golf program had a quite a ride in 2010. The team was recently named All Daily Record Golf Team of the Year, and Coach Sean Flanagan is Star Ledger Coach of the Year. Four members -- Nick Howard-Johnson '11, Bobby Kaminski '10, Frank Szucs '13 and John Voetsche '12 -- were selected to the All Daily Record First Team.

    While others settle into their vacation modes during the lazy days of summer, half a dozen Delbarton students suited up and hopped a plane to Kansas City where they managed to dominate the National Speech and Debate Tournament.

    Delbarton families and alumni are an exceptionally supportive group. For example, last year our alums led independent school giving nationwide with a 46+% participation rate. People ask our secret and it's simple: We have a great bunch of guys, and a superb school they care enough about to give back to. An enthusiastic group of alums, parents and friends of Delbarton joined Director for Alumni & Development J.     The Delbarton Alumni Association Annual Meeting & Pig Roast takes place tonight at 6:00 PM as regularly scheduled. Due to rainy weather the event is moving into the Fine Arts Center.     The Class of 2010 graduated on June 6, 2010, surrounded by proud family members, the monks of St. Mary's Abbey and the Delbarton faculty. On Friday, June 4, 2010 the class and their families shared a Baccalaureate Mass and Dinner.   • Crotty '05 Wins Tewaaraton Award

    Duke senior attackman Ned Crotty '05 won the sport's highest award, The Terwaaraton Trophy, on June 3, 2010.

    Former Green Wave player and current Duke University senior attackman Ned Crotty '05 was named the recipient of the 2010 Tewaaraton Trophy as the nation's top men's lacrosse player.
